Inside / Brooklyn

February 2011, I moved from Southern California to Brooklyn, New York. Disoriented by this extreme change in local, I spent much time perched by windows in my apartment; inside looking out, contemplating and taking in my new urban environment.
My favorite window faced west. The view included: apartments, windows, brick walls, roof tops, a large slice of sky, and a magnificent 34 story, art deco landmark skyscraper, Williamsburgh Savings Bank Tower. I was mesmerized by this building, a constant in a continuum of change. It was my timepiece, anchor and true north as I learned to navigate my new life in Brooklyn.
The photographs in this exhibit are the results of my musings, gazing, and observations of time, light and the subtle nuances of daily life during my residence in Brooklyn, NY
